Ieri in timp ce stateam pe o banca cu prietena mea vine un domn. Ne spune povestea lui pe scurt, incepe sa planga. Si incepe sa amanunteasca despre viata lui. Cand a aflat ce facultate am terminat...parca i-a paralizat discursul in care se umilea si a inceput sa ne DEA SFATURI. De ce specializarea Jurnalism, de ce in Romania??? Inca din timpul facultatii am auzit sute de sfaturi de la toata lumea. O persoana, daca este mai in varsta- chiar si cu cativa ani simte nevoia de a da un sfat. Detest generalizarea si negativismul asta pe care il au in sfaturi oamenii maturi. Practic nu am niciun viitor, nicio speranta, nicio motivatie. Am raspuns mereu politicos si chiar am ascultat cu atentie fiecare fraza emisa de toti indivizii pe care i-am intalnit. Si imi aduc aminte de discutia mea cu doamna de la Centrul de mediere- Fortele de munca, care s-a terminat cu replica domanei:"trebuie sa ai putin noroc". Si mult bun-simt pentru a nu raspunde urat!

Colectie din colectiile mele:)

Popcorn a fost prima revista pe care am colectionat-o. Eram in generala cand am descoperit ca imi plac revistele. Toate. Imi cumparam si alte reviste, inca de atunci, si apoi uitandu-ma peste ele constatam ca eu nu colectionez doar Popocorn. Asa mi se intampla si astazi. Dupa revistele pentru adolescente cu rubrici de genul "primul sarut", "prima intalnire" am trecut la revistele de moda, cu un numar mare de pagini in care subiectele erau complexe pentru mine, cea de atunci. Am colectionat Bolero vreo 5 ani. Consideram ca niciuna nu este asemeni ei, fiind o revista romaneasca. Cand am descoperit revista Tango in urma cu vreo 4 ani, m-am gandit la faptul ca am pierdut atat de mult timp cu reviste puerile. Imi pare si astazi cea mai frumoasa revista, este pe gustul meu si o citesc in vreo 2 zile datorita numarului mare de articole si interviuri lungi cu oameni de elita ai acestei tari, si nu numai. Dan Puric chiar a facut material de carte un interviu din Tango. De moda colectionez Elle, aceasta revista care se vinde precum Vogue la nivel mondial, dar la un pret accesibil tutror. Q magazine o cumpar din principiu. Mai citeam la un moment dat Joy doar din singurul motiv...era varianta din SUA tradusa in limba romana. Am incetat sa cumpar Beau Monde fara motiv. Prietena mea imi reproseaza mereu ca dau prea multi bani pe reviste. Dar nu ma pot abtine. Cand stau in casa si nu am niciun program, imi pun un teanc de reviste pe langa mine si incep sa le rasfoiesc sau sa le citesc din scoarta in scoarta. Aproape intotdeauna exista o revista in plus pe care nu am rasfoit-o. Am si tabieturi cand citesc reviste. Intai editorialul, apoi interviurile, articole scrise de anumite jurnaliste, in/out, bine/ prost imbracati. Este rubrica mea preferata. Mi-ar placea o revista intreaga cu bine/prost imbracati, cu/fara stil, pastraza/arunca.:)) In rest, cumpar reviste datorita persoanei de pe coperta. Mai cumpar sa vad cum este conceputa o revista. Mi-a placut mult de tot un numar Marie Clarie dar nu l-am cumparat si pe urmatorul. Dintre toate am cateva reviste, la care tin mult, puse langa patul meu si le mai recitesc uneori. Acestea sunt: Confidential, un numar din vara lui 2009 cu Maria Marinescu pe coperta, cu un pictorial despre stilul ei, care imi pare exemplar. Nu inteleg romanii cand sunt atat de preocupati cu ce nu face Maria Marinescu, cu cine se culca. Fata asta chiar stie sa se imbrace spre deosebire de multe... care fac ceva! The One, tot vara 2009, tot Maria Marinescu. Pentru hainele din ultimele colectii frumos combinate. Pantofii Christian Louboutin cu cristale si intreaga tinuta Louis Vuitton. Ea ar trebui sa fie mai prezenta in revistele de moda. The One cu Mihaela Radulescu si pentru un interviu extraordinar cu Agatha Ruiz. Tango din 2008 pentru frumosul interviu cu Anca Parghel. Ce nedrept...sa moara oameni care isi doresc cel mai mult sa traiasca! Tango, noiembrie 2009, pentru Loredana, exceptionala si interviul cu Mircea Toma, care pe mine m-a fascinat. Un alt Tango pentru interviul caricaturistului Stefan Popa-Popa's, om al recordurilor...1500 de portrete in 10 zile si 10 nopti. Tango din iunie 2010 pentru discursul lui Tudor Caranfil. Prezenta constanta a Ninei Cassian in numerele Tango mi se pare nepretuita. Elle cu Diana Dondoe, care ma face sa gandesc: De ce este Gisele Bundchen cea mai tare?! Elle cu Irina Lazareanu, cel mai bun numar de pana acum. 11 tari au cumparat reportajul cu Irina. Este inteligenta si cool. Nu degeaba Sean Lennon ii compune, Karl Lagerfeld o are drept muza, Kate Moss o introduce in lumea modei, Pete Doherty a parasit-o pe Kate Moss pentru ea.


Elle cu Natalie Portman, printre preferatele mele. Elle cu Radulesca. Doar ce am cumparat pentru prima data Unica, pentru Mihaela Radulescu. Imi place sa o revad pe coperti. Este pozitiva, vitala, sportiva si te face sa te simti prost pentru lipsa de motivatie din viata ta. Vreau sa fiu si eu entuziasmata cum este ea. M-am saturat de moracanosi, de intelectuali aroganti, de cei care trateaza cu superioritate alti oameni, de uratii astia care nu-si mai ajung ei insisi. De asta il ador eu pe Andrei Plesu...e senin. Si am sa inchei cu Alex Leo Serban "putea lansa un trend: rautatile, invidiile, meschinariile nu mai sunt cool, haideti sa ne admiram! Pare naiv?".

Am ajuns in sfarsit la "Sex and the city 2" si am vazut cel mai grazav film din ultimul timp. Chiar daca era previzibil sa-mi placa, tot am fost impresionata. A fost frumos totul. Sala era plina si oamenii au aplaudat de vreo 3, 4 ori. Mi se pare grozav cand se intampla asa...ma simt ca la teatru. Citisem ca hainele din film au costat in jur de 10 milione $, cred ca numai cerceii Samanthei au valorat vreo 5 mil:)). Am sesizat 2 rochii superbe, una a mirandei si una a lui carrie. Hainele Samanthei mi s-au parut exagerate dar ea a fost pur si simplu savuroasa, a avut niste scene grozave, super amuzante!!! Si acest Max Ryan care le-a zapacit pe fete:). Acest film a fost mult mai bun si mai amuzant decat primul. Chiar daca criticii au fost duri, eu consider ca aceste fete au mare succes in acest context si abia astept si "Sex and the city 3" :D.

balmain in romania...

Am auzit-o pe una la televizor care isi prezenta tinuta si spunea ca rochia ei este de la Balmain. Totul bun pana aici. Chiar daca, toata ziua ma uit pe site-uri precum antonioli.eu, mytheresa.com, balmain.com, unde sunt ultimele colectii, si nu am vazut rochia respctiva. Poate fi un model mai vechi. :| Ceea ce a fost cu adevarat ciudat a fost afirmatia cum ca "In Romania chiar poti sa gasesti orice din colectiile Balmain". :))
Este adevarat ca in magazinul "Victoria 46" exista si Balmain dar nu cu un numar mare de obiecte vestimentare precum Dior, Lanvin, Balenciaga, Elie Saab sau Givenchy. Pentru ca Balmain a devenit exclusivist si foarte putine tari isi permit sa aiba toate colectiile lor. Asta pentru ca preturile sunt foarte mari. De ex, tricoul costa 1200, geaca 5100, si camasa minunata 1287 :D. Ceea ce mi se pare drept avand in vedere ca hainele lor chiar sunt deosebite. Acestia au cele mai frumoase rochii, din punctul meu de vedere.

While researching the world’s top fashion schools, we were excited to learn about some up-and-coming programs. And we expect to see great things out of them in the next decade. In no particular order, they are…
Pratt Institute:
–140 fashion design students
–Tuition (not including room and board): $41,000/year
Famous grads: Jeremy Scott, Betsey Johnson

What they have going for them:
–Students we spoke to loved that it has more of a “real” campus feel and that there was green space and room to spread out.
–It’s in Brooklyn, which, yes, is part of New York City. Pratt has the same access to industry professionals and top-tier designers as FIT and Parsons.
–It’s a fashion program within a much larger arts and design school, so students are exposed to a variety of arts.
–Lots of industry resources are involved in the school. Nick Steele, a stylist and journalist, was intimately involved in the recent Pratt student show. One student credited Nick and his connections with student internships and job offers.

What they need to work on:
–It’s still a very small fashion design program.
–Student comments: Financial aid doesn’t cover expenses. Some students spent $1,000/dress on final collection. (This was a common lament of fashion school students, not just Pratt).
Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD):

–526 fashion design students
–Tuition (not including room and board): $27,765/year
Famous grads: None yet, but we’re watching closely.

What they have going for them:
–Lots of resources are being put into the fashion program. It was recently split off from the larger school of design and is now called the School of Fashion. Michael Fink, former Saks Fifth Avenue’s women’s fashion director, was hired as the dean.
–They have a variety of fashion career options in which to major: design, accessories design, and marketing/management.
–They are making connections with the fashion world at-large: André Leon Talley is on the Board of Trustees. The André Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award is presented every year, and brings a well-known designer to the school. This year’s recipient was Diane von Furstenberg.
–Faculty: Lots of industry professionals and marquee designers are brought in to mentor and do workshops (Simon Doonan, Badgley Mischka, Yigal Azrouël, Zac Posen, Catherine Malandrino).
–Besides Savannah, they have campuses in Atlanta, Hong Kong, and Lacoste, France.

What they need to work on:
–The college has only been around since the 1970s, so they don’t have a huge endowment yet (which translates to money and resources).
–It’s off the beaten path. Right now the top fashion schools are in London and New York, which are obviously two fashion hubs. It’s much more difficult to get industry people to drop by. However, it seems they’ve committed the resources to get this done from afar.
Rhode Island School of Design (RISD):
–170 students in apparel design/textiles; 42 jewelry/metalsmithing
–Tuition (not including room and board): $39,000/year
-Famous grads: Nicole Miller, Sari Gueron, Philip Crangi, Marcia Patmos, Sarah Welsh & Madeline Davy (Octopi)

What they have going for them:
–History. The school was established in 1888.
–Part of one of the most renowned and well-respected design schools in the world.
–The jewelry/metalsmith program and textiles program are unique and very few schools have programs like them.
–Proximity to the creative and artistic minds of RISD at-large could be very inspiring. Buy how this translates to marketability and tangible outcomes is uncertain.
–The first year is devoted to a fine arts foundation.
–Ability to cross-register at Brown University.

What they need to work on:
–The fashion design school is really small.
–Same problem as SCAD–off the beaten path.
–Not a lot of big-name industry professionals involved in the program. It still seems a bit provincial in that way."
